Isshiki declares that Kawaki is a suitable candidate for his vessel. It was a devastating scene to see Kawaki vanish along with his Karma. However, the implantation of Isshiki failed.

It was later revealed that Kawaki used a perfect Shadow Clone Jutsu and Isshiki slowly turned to a speck of dust until he completely vanished. They were asking Naruto about how he turned into Baryon Mode and just when they thought the fight was over, Sasuke was stabbed by Boruto on the left eye – Boruto became the vessel of Momoshiki.

Kawaki convinces Boruto to fight the control of Momoshiki but he got stabbed in the back as a result. Sasuke stands back and used his blade with Chidori to fight off Momoshiki. That was enough to ward him off of Boruto and defeated the one who just controlled him by cutting his horn. As Sasuke is about to confront Naruto, the Seventh Hokage is not waking up.
